About Greece

Greece, officially known as the Hellenic Republic, is a country situated in southeastern Europe along the Mediterranean Sea. It is a parliamentary republic and a full member state in the European Union, NATO, and one of the founding members of the United Nations. It is also one of the 26 European state members in the Schengen Area.

Due to Greece’s geographic location in the southernmost part of Europe, the country is blessed with one of the warmest climates in the region where long summer seasons run from April until late October. Visitors to Greece will not only enjoy the country’s warm weather, but also its idyllic setting which features thousands of islands scattered throughout the Mediterranean, Ionian, and Aegean Seas.

Although Greece was one of the countries that suffered the most from the global financial crisis in 2008, it had recovered well in recent years with economic growth and GDP are now on the rise. Low property prices in Greece have constantly attracted international investors to invest in Greece’s real estate market which offers a potential for high capital gains over the coming years.
