Grenada Joins Saudi Arabia’s E-Visa Program

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministries of Interior and Tourism, has announced the facilitation of visit procedures by adding three new countries eligible for obtaining visas electronically or upon arrival at one of its international ports.

It revealed that the added countries are the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada, where visas are granted to citizens of those countries for a period of one year, for multiple trips, with a stay of up to 3 months during the year. Electronic visas are issued instantly from the digital Saudi embassy on the unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Citizens of these countries can also apply for a visit visa upon arrival at one of Saudi Arabia’s ports. The visit visa enables tourism, Umrah, business, visiting relatives, and friends. It is noted that the specified duration of stay in the visit visa must be adhered to.

If the visa is of the “multiple entry” type, the duration of stay is cumulative. Visa renewal is only available after its expiry, and departure from Saudi Arabia must be before the end of the specified stay period in the visit visa to avoid penalties. Additionally, the visit visa does not allow for paid work or performing Umrah rituals during the Hajj season.
