Antigua launches the University of the West Indies Fund Option

Antigua & Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment Unit has announced the launch of a new, significantly cheaper for large families, fund for citizenship: The University of the West Indies Fund.

This new option is the fourth investment option under Antigua & Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment program and will not replace the three existing options (donation, real estate and business investments).

The University of the West Indies (UWI) was established in 1948 and is the largest and longest standing education provider in the Caribbean. The UWI is a dynamic international institution offering high quality research and educational facilities. It serves primarily the countries of the Commonwealth Caribbean, and also boasts a number of international students from around the world — with the total number of graduates crossing 100,000.

The UWI’s network of alumni is impacting the globe, with graduates including Emmy Award & Nobel Prize winners, CEOs & entrepreneurs, artists, national leaders and more. The Antigua institution’s distinguished list of Honorary Graduates boasts the likes of Usain Bolt, Brian Lara, Rt. Rev Bishop Desmond Tutu, and His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I.

The Proceeds from the UWI citizenship fund is going to fund the development of the university and will be a mechanism for financing the university’s fourth landed campus.

The University of the West Indies Fund is only available for families consisting of at least six (6) members. This new fund allows investors with families of six to pay only $150,000 in donation, inclusive of government processing fees, to qualify for citizenship. An additional donation of USD $15,000 applies for each additional dependent.

Families of 6 will have their processing fees waived, making the Antigua and Barbuda CBI’s UWI Fund one of the most cost-effective passport solutions for larger families. Additionally, participation in the new fund entitles one member of the family to a one-year scholarship, tuition only, at the University of the West Indies.

The government will begin receiving applications under this option effective immediately. To learn more about the University of the West Indies Fund, contact us today and speak to one of our agents for a free consultation. Visit https://www.citizenshipbay.com/
